The Cost of Ignoring Your Intuition (And How to Trust It Instead)

When the mind is still, the whispers of intuition become clear. Trust the silence—it already knows the way.

We’ve all felt it—that gut feeling that something is off. A tightness in the chest. A quiet voice inside whispering, "Don’t do it." And yet, so many times, we ignore it. We justify, rationalize, or convince ourselves to go against what we know deep down. But when we ignore our intuition, we don’t escape the lesson—we just learn it the hard way.

When We Feel It But Don’t Listen

Intuition isn’t loud. It doesn’t scream. It nudges. It tugs at your awareness, offering a sense of knowing before your mind can explain why. But instead of trusting it, we question it:

  • "Maybe I’m overreacting."

  • "Let me see if I’m right."

  • "I just want to help."

But ignoring intuition doesn’t make it disappear—it just means we’ll feel the consequences later.

Lessons From Testing It the Hard Way

I’ve had my fair share of moments where I knew something wasn’t right but went ahead anyway. And every time, I ended up in a storm I could have avoided.

Travel—Following the Right Gut Feeling

The first time I ever used my passport, I booked a one-way ticket to Thailand—alone. No job, no home, no plan. But I knew it was the right decision. Everything aligned. My pain disappeared, I met like-minded people, and I was told I was already doing Reiki before I even studied it. It was a leap into the unknown, but my gut knew before my mind could catch up.

Returning to Canada—Ignoring My Gut

I didn’t want to come back. Everything inside me screamed, "Don’t go back!" But someone bought me a ticket home, and I didn’t want to waste their money. The result? I found myself homeless, lost, and unraveling in the shock of returning to a life that no longer fit me.

The Relationship I Knew Wouldn’t Work

When I returned to Canada it was torture. The culture shock the return of my pain. Finding myself alone, homeless and pushing people away. But there was a guy. I knew something was off, but I stayed. I wanted to help him. I thought, "Maybe it’s just my fear talking." It wasn’t. The relationship turned abusive. I lost myself. But I knew before it even started—it was never the right person for me.

How Everything Changed When I Finally Trusted It

At my lowest, I realized: My intuition was always right. It wasn’t my fear. It wasn’t overthinking. It was truth trying to guide me. And when I finally listened?

  • I rebuilt my life on my own terms.

  • I have a home, stability, and a daughter (She also is a gift from the divine Intuition).

  • I trust myself now without needing to test it first.

And now? There’s a new experience. A connection that defies logic. My mind says, this makes no sense. But my intuition knows there’s something here to discover. And this time? I trust it.

Your Intuition Is ALWAYS Right—So Trust It Now

If I’ve learned anything, it’s this:

  • Your intuition speaks first.

  • If you ignore it, you don’t avoid the truth—you just learn it painfully.

  • The more you trust it, the louder and clearer it gets.

We don’t need to second-guess. We don’t need to "test" if it’s right. We just need to listen. Because intuition never lies. It’s just waiting for us to trust it. Nourishing our soul with inner wisdom to reign with grace and love.
