Our bodies are not just physical structures - they are energetic systems that hold emotions, memories, and stress. Ancient healing traditions like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda have long mapped out how emotions manifest within the body's energy systems. This blog explores where emotions are stored in the 12 meridians and the chakras - offering you a deeper understanding of your own body's wisdom. I am offering this information in the simplest way possible no fluff to get right to the point.
My Personal Journey with Stored Emotions
I have firsthand insight into how emotions directly affect our physical being, not just through observation, but through lived experience. My health struggles started early - frequent bronchitis and lung issues as a child, which I now understand were deeply linked to grief and sadness. When my parents separated, I lost having my dad in my life, and the emotional impact manifested in my stomach, leading to chronic digestive issues. At 16, I was living on my own, navigating heartache and abuse, which only intensified my stomach problems. By my last year of high school, my lower back seized up, making it difficult to even get out of bed - clearly reflecting deep-rooted fear and survival stress. By the time I turned 20, brain fog and fibromyalgia set in, a culmination of stored trauma, unprocessed emotions, and the body's desperate call for healing.
